EN ACCORD AVEC LE THÈME PRIORITAIRE de la 65e Session de la Commission de la Condition de la Femme,
Voici le thème pour la Journée Internationale du 8 mars 2021 : "Les femmes aux commandes. Parvenir à un avenir égalitaire dans un monde en proie au Covid-19, en route vers le Forum Génération
Egalité".
En plus de célébrer les efforts considérables faits par les femmes et les filles du monde entier pour construire un avenir plus égalitaire lors du rétablissement après la pandémie,
l’événement sera aussi un ‘lever de rideau’, assurant un intérêt accru pour les Forums Génération Egalité à Mexico (29-31 mars 2021) et Paris (juin 2021).
La Célébration fera intervenir des dignitaires de haut-rang appartenant aux Nations Unies et aux gouvernements, ainsi que d’autres champions de l’égalité de genre qui offriront leurs
réflexions sur le thème de la Journée et amplifieront la tâche des Forums Génération Egalité à venir. L’événement comprendra aussi des concerts par Angelica Hale, le choeur Pihcintu et les
chanteurs de Broadway

Aligned with the priority theme of the 65th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, the theme for the United Nations Observance of International
Women’s Day 2021 is “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world, on the way to the Generation Equality Forum.” In addition to
celebrating the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will
also ‘lift the curtain’ and bring increased attention to this year’s Generation Equality Forums in Mexico City (29-31 March 2021) and Paris (June 2021).
The Observance will feature high-level dignitaries from the United Nations and governments, as well as other gender equality advocates and champions who will
offer reflections on the day’s theme and amplify the work of the upcoming Generation Equality Forums. The event will also include musical performances by
Angelica Hale, the Pihcintu Chorus, and Broadway singers.
The colour for International Women’s Day 2021 is yellow! The hashtags for social media will be #IWD2021 and #InternationalWomensDay.
